distracted and distant?? That could be me!

Women Living Well blogger asked some tough questions of us this week in her Making Your Home a Haven Fall Challenge.

First, this week’s assignment is to light a candle in your home.  Whenever the candle catches your eye, pray for peace in your home.

Home #1

  1. The woman of the home is distant.

  2. The woman of the home is distracted.

  3. The woman of the home is crabby.

  4. The woman of the home is discontent.

  5. The woman of the home doesn't pray.

Home #2

  1. The woman of the home is engaged.

  2. The woman of the home is wise with her time management.

  3. The woman of the home has a pleasant demeanor.

  4. The woman of the home is content.

  5. The woman of the home prays.

I would have to say that I am MORE the woman in the first home.  Unfortunately.  However, I’m working on those things and I do see progress.  I am less often crabby.  I am more and more content in day to day things.  I am praying more.  My life is demanding that I be engaged, especially as a homeschooling mom of many.  I am making an effort to be a Proverbs 14:1 woman. "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down."

I lit my candle a couple of days so far this week.  I will lit it again a little later this evening.  And really try to remember for tomorrow.  And will remember to pray often.

Still diggin',

Ooooo, I'm gonna post those on my wall so I'm constantly reminded which woman I want to be! thanks for sharing this! I too can relate to the first woman...yes unfortunate...however, it is NOT too late to change! I want to be there emotionally for my kids...not just be a face that teaches them and corrects them. Just need to learn how to do this...
