My chosen course of study (that will last longer than the four week course at Inspired To Action) is to learn about the weekly Sabbath and any other tangents that may take me on. I have selected scriptures mentioning sabbath and relating to sabbath that I want to dive and dig into more. Also I searched for blogs and websites that discuss the topic. I will be looking into those deeper as well. Lastly, I am listening to / watching The Jonah Code videos on YouTube.
So far, I’ve gotten off on a tangent in regards to Jesus’ death and resurrection. We celebrate His death on Good Friday and His resurrection on Easter Sunday. I do not understand why. In the Bible, Jesus said He would be in the grave 3 nights and 3 days (Matt. 12:40). Friday evening to Sunday morning is not 3 days and 3 nights.Some people may think I’m splitting hairs or choking on a gnat or whatever, but where I am in my relationship with my God I need to dig a little deeper, get some answers and really find out and know some things.
In relation to a weekly sabbath, a friend told me that I won’t really know until I experience, and put such a thing in place in my life. I’m not there yet, partly because I don't really know what a sabbath rest is supposed to look like. Finding out that is part of my mission during Mom-iversity.
