Body After Baby Week 5 Begins – December 29 to January 4

 

First a quick review of the week of Christmas:

 

I ate too much.  We attended a party on the 22nd and the 23rd.  Then we decorated and sampled the gingerbread train with my brother on the evening of the 24th.  We celebrated again on the 25th with a big turkey dinner.  We’ve been eating leftovers since.

 

I can’t say that I’ve done a tonne of exercise in the last week.  Well, I did a bit more since Christmas Day when we unwrapped the Wii and Wii ft board.  The puppy and or the 2 year old have me up well before anyone else is ready to get up, so I plan (and have for a couple of days now) to get a workout in first thing in the morning.

 

I have been drinking less coffee.  Coffee doesn’t affect my sleep or mood or energy level as much as it does some people.  I am able to drink a cup right before bed and I am still able to sleep well. I drink coffee as a routine thing, or as a comfort thing.  I don’t know if we’ve been too busy or just uninterested.  Whatever the reason, I have been able to get more water in.  I like that.  I find my body has been craving the water and I feel better when I meet the craving.  Water tastes so good these days.

 

Now for goals for the coming week:

 

Keep drinking more water.

Use the Wii Fit daily, in the morning and then later with the kids, just for fun.

Get to bed before midnight, preferably before 11PM.

Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday, and your goals for the week sound like great goals.

I really like the get to bed earlier one, that's one I need to practice.
