This week was a great week. Jason was home a number of days, and then worked a few nights which meant he slept some of the days. He finished my floor! I gained almost a whole room of space in my living room.
Monday was National Sticky Bun Day. So, thanks for the donations of a friend and neighbor we were able to make yummy buns for night snack.
My student had his last week here; we saw him three days so we could try to get the unit finished before he moved to his new community and new school. We got it done! I’m sad to see them go, but so glad for the good change for their family. At least I trust that it will be a good move for them. I really enjoyed tutoring; I would take on another student in the future, I think, if the opportunity presents itself.
I had good visits with my friends. One day was worship and fitness focussed; we worked out to praise and worship music. What a blast! The other day was just a visit; we had good food and good conversation while our children played. Then there were the phone conversations had with yet another friend; our lives are so crazy busy that we haven’t made the time to get together, but we are still making a point to be in one another’s life.
What are we learning about? I haven’t really been talking much about school lately. We’re counting coins! We are playing. Books everywhere, all the time. Wii sports. Music. Dance. Computer skills. We’ve learned about interacting with others. We talked about some current news. We are learning a number of life skills.
March is here already. Soon the first quarter of the year will be gone and we will wonder where the time was spent. We will marvel that the year is flying past. And before you know it spring will arrive. What fun! Spring!!!
Striving to learn and live God's purposes,
