Outside my window, though not in my line of site, is a gorgeous popular tree that I love to look at throughout the summer. I love to watch its leaves grow and change each year.
I am thinking that movies should be shown on TV uncut, no matter how long they are. We watched The Incredibles; a lot of the good parts were missing because of the time slot left for the program.
I am thankful for my husband’s job; I have a love / hate relationship with it. It is very unpredictable. There is lots of work, sometimes too much work! When it comes, it comes fast and hard. I guess. And then there are times when there is very little and we get to see so much of Jason; we have some great family times.
From the learning rooms we are talking about the human body in science, carrying addition in math, reading lots. I think one of the main goals this week, though, is going to be ORGANIZATION!
From the kitchen, I brought some taco meat and made some great tacos for supper tonight! I love having meat prepared in the freezer – just like fast food, only better!
I am wearing what I wore to church this morning – jeans, white t-shirt with a blouse overtop. Earlier I had on my Smart Mom jewellery which kept my son busy in church today.
I am creating my homeschool list of books that I need to purchase this spring for the coming year. So far I have a human body science book, three math workbooks (2 gr. 3 and 1 gr. 1), a book on biblical holidays. I’m still thinking on a few other things.
I am going to be so happy when the seasons activities are over. I am glad that my children enjoy their classes, but when they are over, it is like we are having a new beginning. When the activities are done, summer is here. I am excited for supper and the things that we are going to be doing!
I am reading The Surrendered Wife, and 21 Days to Training Your Dog. I am enjoying them both, but have a long way to go in both of them. On deck, is Dressed to Kill.
I am hoping to have a productive day tomorrow. I have had a great, and restful weekend. Saturday was spent hanging out with my kids, enjoying the spring weather. We did very little clean up. Sunday was spent with our church family and watching a movie as a family.
I am hearing Breakout Kings (dh is watching it) and the kids are playing and getting ready for bed. I can’t wait for bedtime!
Around the house are puddles! heehee. Outside. The snow is melting!!! The snow is melting!!
One of my favorite things is a cup of coffee in the evening, after supper. We make it strong and it’s so soothing, like a cup of chicken soup when you are sick. It’s routine. It’s comfort.
A few plans for the rest of the week: on Wednesday the girls get to paint the clay creations they made a few weeks ago; other than that, I want to go for a walk daily, even if it is really wet out there.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing:
Miss Rayna may have the biggest attitude of all my kids, but she’s only 2.5 years old yet, so it’s still cute. She’ll be standing there having a conversation with you, with her hands on her hips. She loves to bother her brothers, in the most loving way ever. She’s in the middle of learning to use the toilet; Smarties are leaving my pocket on a regular basis for a job well done, in. the. toilet.

I like that. Just the simple day in the life. As if they're ever really simple.
