written by LaDonna (Salmond) Harris in October 1997
Those who’s hearts are torn
Know pain that none may know;
Their anguish is deeper
than any can imagine.
Their tears do fall
like streams of water.
No comfort found
in those around.
I wander to the forests -
I look for comfort there.
I find it not;
They’re not the same.
I walk the roads -
to town and back.
I find no peace;
It used to work.
My heart is torn;
I know great pain
My anguish deeper
than imagined.
My tears are falling
like mighty rivers.
I’ll find my comfort
in only one,
Christ, the Lord.
Prov. 3:5&6, Phil. 4:13
