Thinking On Scripture

Here’s the point: he who plants sparingly also harvests sparingly.  Each should give according to what he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  Moreover, God has the power to provide you with every gracious gift in abundance, so that always in every way you will have all you need yourselves and be able to provide abundantly for every good cause.  ~~ 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (CJB)

Here’s some thoughts:

  • blessed beyond measure!
  • giving like we’ve never given before
  • provided with every gracious gift in abundance!
  • all our daily needs are met
  • able to provide for good causes all around us
  • there is JOY in the giving
  • it is humbling to receive

Can you see these blessings in your life?  If you can’t, if you are at a different place in life, that’s okay too.  We were there – at that place where we didn’t know where the food was going to come from, but you know what, the food, the clothes, the needs were always there, always met, by gracious givers, cheerful givers, loving friends and family.  I hope and pray you don’t feel alone, don’t feel unloved, unwanted.

May God open your eyes the the blessings all around you, even in times of trouble, just as He has for us this winter.
