I know that Christy over at ShakeTheSalt has been ill, so I'm not sure that she'll be posting A Moment this week, but I thought I'd go ahead and post mine anyway.
I've talked about my mini-vacations before and I think I'll be taking them again. The winter seems to be dragging on and on. I'm hoping that with the arrival of March that spring is coming soon. :) But more on my mini vacations. I've started to use my mp3 player to "zone out" and block out some of the constant noise in my home. I either listen to music or I listen to a podcast.
Or I sit with my little baby while she's asleep and wrapped in a blanket and I just snuggle her. We don't pay attention to the tv or the computer or the radio; the house is quieter because everyone else is in bed and we just sit. Her soft little head rests on my chest and I put my cheek on her head and breathe in her smell. I listen to her little snores and think about how she is the same or different from each of her siblings. I wonder what she'll be like has she grows and develops into a little person. I kiss the top of her head; I rock her a little and pat her padded bottom if she stirs. All ltoo soon the moment has passed and life goes on.
