I'm struggling a little with being thankful this week. The longer dh goes without work the harder it is to see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. But . . .
I am thankful that my DH has a new fire under his butt - He's started carving and building. He's using his tools to make things that are sell-able. He's finding his groove; doing something (going out on his own) he's always wanted to do and using the tools he's been buying at Canadian Tire's half off sales.
I am thankful for government programs that allow my DH to be home, and provide enough $$ so we don't starve. :)
I am thankful for cardboard boxes. I am reorganizing our clothing that's in storage. It is costing me nothing to do it, because of cardboard boxes.

Hi L...
Wow, I just feel your struggle in your heart. Oh, cling to Jesus and don't quit praying. Perhaps this new carving and building thing is what God wants for your man.
Have a blessed TT. Hugs.
you know you should be thankful for the government programs. here in the philippines, a lot of people are losing jobs and sad to say our government never had program like the ones that your government has to help them. they are left jobless and penniless.
i hope that thought makes you more thankful. be blessed!
thanks for the visit!
God knows. He provides. He cares. He gives us wisdom and knowledge. all we gotta do is BELIEVE in His sovereignty. God bless you, L harris.
Even in your struggle to be thankful, you were faithful to do so and may you be blessed!!
Big hugs to you today!
We are so blessed to live in a country that does have programs to help us when we need a helping hand. I'm praying that the right job comes quickly for your hubby!
God bless you!
Your husband is in my prayers. I have heard of many struggling because of the economy and it just breaks my heart at the layoffs. Praying God will open a door soon for ya'll. Great list of blessings, though. I love that you can still be thankful in the midst of a trial such as this. Happy Thankful Thursday!
Praying for you and your family. Maybe your hubby's carving will be a new provision for you. It'll be fun to watch what God does. Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day. Mary
The Lord's watching over you and providing for your needs. Thanks for sharing; it helps to give others encouragement who are struggling too (me!)
May God bless your husband's hands as he explores his carving. May God continue to bless you with "enough," too, as you face each day. I know how hard it can be to lay something at His feet and then leave it there so I pray that for you...and that your worry is lifed. Be blessed!!
