30 Days of Recipes - Slow Cooker Lasagna

Photobucket

I don't really measure this recipe and I try not to be skimpy on the ingredients.

Slow Cooker Lasagna - my version

about 2 lbs - ground beef
a whole, large onion, chopped
2 cans spaghetti sauce
2 eggs
one standard box lasagna noodles - not oven ready
about 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Brown meat and onion in a skillet. Drain fat. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer about 7 minutes. You might want to thin it a little with water.

In a separate bowl, combine cheese and egg. Mix thoroughly. Spoon a layer of meat into the bottom of the slow cooker. Add 2 layers of uncooked lasagna noodles. Top with cheese mixture. Repeat until the meat, cheese and noodles are gone, or the slow cooker is full. Sprinkle with more cheddar cheese. Cover. Cook on low for 6-8 hours; high for 3 hours.
