Books and Coffee

Just a quick list today as life is pretty crazy. Not feelin' this blogging thing, but wanting to. Know what I mean?

So check out Little W's day here.

Books:

Just finished The Vision by C L Talmadge.

But Then Again I Could Be Wrong by Jim Rising; I'm reading this one now.

Also reading Every Thought Captive by Richard L. Pratt, Jr. during my devotional time.

I'm part way through an ebook called Fascinating Womanhood.

Gardening and preserving:

beans, almost all cut and froze.
peas, 5 bags froze, done.
corn, eating fresh every other day.
carrots, still in the ground.
cucumbers, just getting going.
spaghetti squash, need a lot more time.
onions, ready to store.
beets, waiting in the ground to be pickled.
tomatoes, ripening on the vine.
peaches, going to freeze (3 cases).
apples, from friends and neighbors, slicing and freezing.

We decided to freeze everything that we could; I find it easier to do that than canning at this point in my life.

Homeschooling:

We are really enjoying Beestar Math and Spelling City.
We are trying to finish our math work book (ACSI Grade 1) by Christmas; it means 3 pages a day 5 days a week. I hope we can do it; they really want to!

Well, hello L Harris....nice to meet a fellow Canadian.....thanks for stopping by.....hope you have a great week homeschooling....I did that for two years w/two of my kids that were having problems and then I did it last year w/my youngest because the school couldn't provide the E.A. help that she needed....this year she was placed into a special class in highschool, so it does make my life a little easier since I have several special needs kids that require a lot of doctor and therapist appts! As you get older you look form the easy way more often I'm afraid! Have a great week L Harris !

Are you selling your preserves? :)
Sounds like you've been busy. Good luck with the homeschooling!

I'm learning that - finding the easier way - as I have more experience. :) And certainly doing what works for our families.

That's quite a garden you've got going! Wow!

I'm not feeling the blogging itch lately either. I didn't link up this week yet because I've had a sick little one on my hands. But it's nice to stop by and have coffee with the girls.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow you've been busy. We don't have a garden, so I don't put up much. But we do have Farmer's Markets, and I stock up on blueberries and freeze them for the winter. And some roasted tomatoes too.

Right now I'm reading The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp and The Knitting Way, and I don't remember the authors' names.

I hope you have a good weekend.

This winter, when I am eating vegetables from a DelMonte can, I will think of all your fresh, frozen veggies and be so very jealous. You have a lot to be proud of! Have you taken pictures of your handiwork? I'd love for you to post them some Friday!

Enjoy your weekend.
