Times are so uncertain. This is very strongly on my mind tonight. We are living day by day right now, in many ways. In this time I am thankful for our communities – fire department, church, friends, community groups.
Growing up I never saw the community around us. I know the people were there and were supportive of one another. I don’t know if my kids see the communities around us either, and I guess that really doesn’t matter. Now, as an adult and a parent, I see and feel the communities – the people around us that support us and each other.
And I am thankful for them.
I have seen over and over again in times of need, the support. Support comes in so many different ways. Physical. Mental. Spiritual. Friendships. Teaching.
I love the “coming alongside” that I see almost daily around me and my family, and around the families in need around us. I love being a part of the “coming alongside”.
