BEFORE:
What you see here are piles clothing and trash that needs to be organized and sorted. All of this used to be piled in the L shape of our shelving.
Here is the L shape corner, cleaned out so I can work there with new boxes to sort those piles and bags.
See the 6 boxes on the shelf? Those are one box per age such as 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 9 months, etc. I now have 15 or so boxes. I decided to keep one box per size for the most part. My size 3, 4, 5 have a couple of boxes because I have children moving into those sizes in the next year.
AFTER:
This took me about 3 hours or so.
The giveaway pile. Not as much as I expected to get rid of. Part of me wishes it was more, but there were not as many clothes there as I thought there was. The pile only needed to be organized.
The box in the middle of the floor there is a box I found upstairs that still needs to be sorted, but it is the only box left to be sorted! I will go through the clothing in the drawers at some point and get rid of more clothing, but for now, I'm done! Also, I have a couple of piles on the shelf; I ran out of boxes before I got finished and the store was closed when J went to pick me up more. We'll pick those up on Monday and finish up the job.
Just another storage shelf as the other ones were full already.
I really enjoyed my afternoon. I was very tired by the time I was done. I took one long break - to make and eat lunch. As a reward, J took us out for supper. I hope to continue this trend (not the eating out) and finish up the rest of the basement, because honestly, I just shoved whatever I wasn't working with further down the room. It is FAR from clean. But those shelves LOOK GOOD!
Striving to learn and live God's purposes,
