Are you like the commenter in that article? Do you view large families in that light?
What a tough article. Great but tough. I know I'm viewed in that light many times, but I'm not the woman described by the commenter. Oh my house is a mess (but not always) and my kids are often in chaos (we are a work in process), but that's not what I want and not what I'm striving for. I know moms of 2 or 3 that are in the same boat. I hope that I can offer a different view of large families to the world.

I read thar article.. I found myself chucklimg at the commenters descriptions, at her ignorance. I have 3 kids and, as YOU know, I often fit those descriptions.. I certainly don't consider 3 a large family.
I think ALL the large families I know have a closeness and discipline that I admire and can't quite seem to achieve in our househould...
The poor woman who wrote the initial comments has obviously been mislead and is filled with bitterness and hate. I truly feel sorry for her. I know very few large families that are not overflowing with God's love and servitude toward others.
I guess since it was posted on FB that the woman was known to Stacy McDonald, but one does the the impression that perhaps she is that stressed out mother of many, speaking from experience.
I totally support children as a blessing. Ihave only 4 living children from 6 pregnancies, but many of my friends have much larger. Most are wonderful examples of Godly, loving homes.
Sadly, what thhis lady has described does happen and it does not promote the large family model. Most people, whether they agree or not, will support and encourage the parents in a large, well behaved and pleasnt family. I have seen a couple of very undisciplined families, with very outspoken parents, who do not do any favours in their witness before the world.
Perhaps that is what this bitter sounding woman has experienced.
I though Stacy answered graciously and well. She seems to be practicing what they preach as the saying goes.
