Life Builder News Unit Two
Well, it's been a long time coming. We started Unit 2 of Building a Life in December of 2009. We finished the unit today! Oh my!! However, we are now excited to keep working on the next unit. Have a look at our newsletter to see what we discussed and what's coming up in the next month or so.

I have a question about your newsletter? a big one: how do you do it? I mean, do you have a form somewhere or is it all just free hand?
I've always wanted to do one.
Do you hand deliver, mail or email them to friends and family.

Hi Michelle. I have continued to follow your blog. I enjoy reading it.
The newsletter you are talking about is the Life Builder News one??? That particular newsletter is a page from our Building A Life character study curriculum published by ACSI. To do that one, I scan the form. Then I use WORD or another processor like that and insert text boxes to put in the words. Then I print a copy (because blogger does not accept .pdf or .doc) and rescan the finished one and save as a .jpg file so I can post it on my blog.
On Life Builder News I only talk about what we are learning in our character studies.
I do not deliver this one to anyone. I simply post it for my readers and that acts as a proof of our homeschooling if needed. Of course I keep the hard copies too. I think I kept this last hard copy.
If I were to do a newsletter for our family that I would mail or email to others, I would probably use a WORD template or something. I have done The Harris Annual in the past and that's what I did. I put it out around Christmas time. I haven't done so though, since 2005 I think. I'd like to start doing so again, as we are getting busier and not keeping up with friends and family the same. I mean Facebook and email help but it's not the same as a newsletter.
