Setting Up the Pool

I started setting up the pool this afternoon.  The temperature I have for our town on my computer is 25C.  I'm not sure if that's what it really is here at the house in the direct sunlight where I am setting up the pool.  I do know that the temperature is very very warm, with very little breeze.  I am setting this pool up in stages.  First I went out and found and cleared the spot, making sure there were not rocks or sticks.  Then I sat in the house where the air is cooler.  In a few minutes I went back out and laid the tarp down on the ground.  I had to come back in to get the pool out of storage, so first I sat for a few more minutes.   I got the pool down out of the loft and I found the air so hot up there that I ended up having to sit again!

As I sit and type this the pool is outside, laying almost flat.  I have discovered that I need to blow up the top ring.  Apparently J did so last year with the air compressor.  I'm not 100% certain how to use this air compressor to do this job, so we may be out of luck to blog up the top ring, which means that I may not get my pool today.  I do not have enough hot air in me to blow the ring up manually.  I may wait until the sun is a little less intense closer to evening and try again.  For now, I will sit where I find the temperature to be a little cooler.

I'm so excited! My friend sent her teenage son over to help me with the air compressor and get the pool filing up. We've spent most of the afternoon out there. I am crispy like a piece of bacon. The kids have had so much fun!
