Spring Reading Thing – Another Season Done

My original list included:
  • One Year To An Organized Life, by Regina Leeds.  This is an ongoing project; I am blogging my “travels” through the year reading this book week by week.
  • The Quilters’ Daughter, by Wanda E. Brunstetter.  I didn’t have very much fiction on my list and this one I’d started before the beginning of SRT 2010.  I completed this book during SRT 2010.
  • Fascinating Womanhood, by Helen Andelin.  This is another ongoing project.  I am reading about a chapter a month and doing assignments for each week.  I am enjoying this book, even if it is slow going.
  • Shadow, by Ellen F. Feld.  I need to review this book; it’s a children’s book.  I am disappointed that I have not gotten to this book yet.
  • Finding Purpose Beyond Our Pain, by Paul Meier, MD and David Henderson, MD.  This is another book for review that I have not started yet.
  • The Magician’s Book, by Laura Miller.  This is a book discussing C. S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia.  It has been a tough read for me.  I am slowly making my way through it.
  • Little Pilgrim’s Progress by Helen L. Taylor.  I borrowed this book from the library and had to return it for another user before we got a chance to read it.  I have now placed this book on my wish list at Barnes and Noble.
  • Castle in the Mist AND Snow Valley Heroes by Robert J McCarty.  Both of these are YA novels.  I want to read the series to my children at some point.  I didn’t get to reading these during SRT 2010 either.
  • The Knight at Dawn (Magic Tree  House #2), by Mary Pope Osborne.  We never did read this one either.  My daughter has since continued on with the series as her reading ability has increased.  She is reading to her sisters at bedtime most nights!

Then I added a few more books to my original list:
  • Every Storm by Lori Wick.  What a great novel!  I completed this during SRT 2010.
  • A Voice in the Wind, by Francine Rivers.  Even though I had trouble starting this book, once I got into the story and the characters, with a little encouragement from friends, I couldn’t put the book down.  I completed this book during SRT 2010.
  • Frankie the walk ‘n roll dog, AND Frankie the walk ‘n roll therapy dog visits libby’s house, by Barbara Gail Techel.  These were sent to me as a review as well.  I really enjoyed them and have not seen them since they left my desk, so I am assuming my children are enjoying them as well.

And two more books that I finished this spring but never listed in my SRT 2010 lists:

Voice in the Wind is so good as is the other two in that series!

I have never read a Lori Wick book. Maybe I'll have to start with this one.

Good job! I keep hearing positive reviews of Voice in the Wind...I think I'm going to have to get that one. Enjoy your summer!

Great Spring reading! Loved the Mark of the Lion series. Read Francine's newest during SRT and liked it.
