Summer Reading Challenge

So I’m jumping right into the next season with a Summer Reading Challenge hosted by Julie at My Book Retreat.

I think a lot of my books will carry over from the Spring Reading Thing 2010 that I just finished participating in.  As you can see here, I didn’t read a lot of the books I intended to read.  And my list is just getting longer and longer.  I will start this challenge by listing all the books that are currently on my desk and waiting to be read by me; some of them need to be reviewed and some are just for fun!

Currently reading:
  1. The Magician’s Book by Laura Miller
  2. The Birth Book by William and Martha Sears
  3. One Year to an Organized Financial Life by Regina Leeds and Russell Wild
  4. Bringing Up Boys, by James Dobson
  5. Little House in the Big Woods, by Laura Ingalls Wilder
  6. Fascinating Womanhood, by Helen Andelin
  7. New Day, New You by Joyce Meyer
Waiting to be read:
  1. Outcast, by CL Talmadge
  2. Finding Purpose Beyond Our Pain, by Paul Meier and Davie L Henderson
  3. Snow Valley Heroes AND Castle in the Mist by Robert McCarty
  4. Shadow by Ellen F. Feld
  5. The Preschooler’s Busy Book by Trish Kuffner
  6. Last Child in the Woods, by Richard Louv
  7. The Big Breakfast Diet by Daniela Jakuboqicz
  8. Managers of Their Chores by Steven and Teri Maxwell
  9. An Echo in the Darkness by Francine Rivers
  10. 168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think by Laura Vanderkam
That’s a total of 17 books to read (or finish) by September 21, 2010.  Some of those books are children’s books, so we should be good to go and get these finished.  That is provided I don’t find some other, more pressing reading to complete first.

Striving to learn and live God's purposes,
