I missed Monday’s “It’s Monday! What are you reading?” meme mostly because I was almost finished A Voice In The Wind. I finished it tonight! I’m so excited. It’s so long but so good. I had been reading it at bedtime, while I sat waiting for the two littlest to fall asleep. (If I don’t sit with them they get out of bed and fool around!) I really don’t mind sitting with them as long as I have a good book to read. Bedtime would be close to coming and I’d be hurrying the children so that I could go to my bed and read just a few more pages. And honestly, I didn’t come down to the living room right after they fell asleep! I kept reading a little longer. So, A Voice In The Wind is done.
Here’s the progress on the other books I’ve been slowly going through:
- Managers of Their Homes, by Steven and Teri Maxwell – I’m on page 80.
- Little House in the Big Woods, by Laura Ingalls Wilder (our current read-aloud) – We are on page 117.
- One Year to an Organized Financial Life by Regina Leeds – I am on page 110.
- Fascinating Womanhood, by Helen Andelin – I am on page 62.
- The Magician’s Book, by Laura Miller – I’ve gotten as far as page 58.
Next on my list are the following titles: (subject to change)
- Bringing Up Boys, by Dr. James Dobson
- The Big Breakfast Diet by Daniela Jakubowicz, M.D.
- Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv
- The Preschooler’s Busy Book by Trish Kuffner
- Managers of Their Chores, by Steven and Teri Maxwell
Striving to learn and live God's purposes,
