Well, I can’t believe the first month is over already!
Just a few days in I had to change my reading list. Due to the popularity of the book, I removed Last Child in the Woods from my list. I still plan to re-order it from the library but the number of people requesting the book means that I won’t get it back before the fall.
The Preschooler’s Busy Book is a great resource! I did not read every single page, but I quickly skimmed through it and decided that I would love to have a copy in my personal library for reference in the future.
I’ve also added another book to my list. For the Spring Reading Thing 2010 I read the first book in the Mark of the Lion series called A Voice in the Wind. This time I added Echo in the Darkness which is the second book in the series. I am excited to put the kids to bed at night again, because this is the book I choose to read while they are falling asleep, and for a little while after they are asleep!
Our read-aloud has moved on from Little House in the Big Woods to Little House on the Prairie. The older girls are loving this series. Daddy even sits in from time to time to hear what’s happening now in our book.
