Craft of the Day – July 20

I have scheduled a time for crafts each day and last night before I got a craft planned I shut down my computer and so had to come up with something on my own.  I decided to find some magazines (almost couldn’t find any because I’ve been decluttering so much!) and have them make a color collage.  Here are some pictures.





























They had a lot of fun!  I was so glad that our activities earlier in the day did not take the allotted time.  The children had almost an hour to create!

Tackle It Tuesday - Carrots

We got just over half our carrots out of the garden on Saturday morning; they are now washed and waiting to be sliced and frozen. That's my tackle for today.

Do Not Disturb and Tackle It Tuesday

So, this is the second week of Do Not Disturb Tuesday, hosted by Amber and myself. This week we decided to schedule our Tackles for your reading pleasure should you happen to stop by today while we are away tending to our real lives.

I didn't get any pictures yet, but the kids and I have been working on some All About Me lapbooks from Live n Learn Press. I'll be sure to post pictures when we get them done. It involves a lot of cutting and pasting and writing. Great learning.

Another things I've been tackling is the clean laundry pile resulting from tackling this pile from a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly, and thankfully, both bedrooms are STILL CLEAN! I am so very glad. I know that K is working towards some furniture for her room. I can't wait to be able to give it to her!

So what am I doing today, while I'm away? I think we'll go to the park. We'll work on the lapbook. Oh and a big thing that I haven't told my kids about yet. August 25th is Banana Split Day! We're going to have Banana Splits with our community! I'm not going to be turning on the computer. Tackle It Tuesday - TOYS, TOYS, TOYS!!!

OH MY GOODNESS! I am so sick of toys being everywhere! The mess is so overwhelming. And cleaning up the mess is emotionally overwhelming! I can't believe how hard it was to deal with the mess that piled up.

I have pictures to prove what was there before and pictures showing how nice it is now! The second hand store will not know what hit them, when I finally get all this stuff over to them; I have more too!

Tackle It Tuesday

I don't do Tackles very often, but I'm starting to get back into this meme. It helps to give a little focus.

This week I am tackling my routines, getting back on track and organizing myself and my home.

Tackle It Tuesday - Laundry, again

It has been a LONG time since I actively participated in a Tackle It Tuesday,

but I have a gazillion loads of laundry to fold. I spent the better part of our VERY VERY sunny weekend washing and drying clothes. Now, I need to fold! So my tackle is folding about 15 loads of laundry and getting them put away. I can do it, I know I can. lol. I am so glad that the only clothing that's dirty is the stuff we took / will take off tonight!
