Okay, Miss Sue, at the library taught us a new poem/song. At circle time she lets each child pick a stuffed animal and they do a poem or song that goes with that animal. Well, the newest animal is an alligator. W loves the alligator song. So here it is:
Alligator Joe
Alligator Joe has five toes. (Make an alligator with one hand, and hold up all five digits on the other)
Uh oh, oh no, Alligator Joe. (Bob "Joe's" head up and down in rhythm)
CHOMP! (have "Joe" bite one of the toes, putting one finger down into the palm)
Alligator Joe has four toes.
Uh oh, oh no, Alligator Joe.
CHOMP!
Alligator Joe has three toes.
(repeat until all toes are gone and Joe has no toes.)
Alligator Joe has no toes.
Poor Alligator Joe.
You should see W's face light up when we sing it and watch him wait for the CHOMP! He just grins!
