K and Company's Restaurant

As suggested by one of my readers (on this post here), I asked the girls to make lunch today by making a restaurant. At first K said no. She wasn't interested at all. So I just left it alone and went about my business. All of a sudden she comes to me and says, "You know, that restaurant idea. I wanna do it." So we got to it.

She and CJ started by carting all the food from the fridge downstairs to the microwave. Then while CJ was warming food, K started making menu. And then an open and closed sign. A tablecloth on their little table.

K went around to each person and took their order. Then served each person their food and drinks. They made a great make-believe game of it! Even Daddy was given a chance to order. She also served ice cream cups for dessert. She refused to eat until everyone was finished, saying that she'd wait until her day off to eat.

I tried to scan and post a copy of her menu, but my scanner didn't pick up the pencil markings on the orange construction paper!

Off to get them going on clean up the dirty dishes, as most of the leftovers are now gone. Without a battle.
