Little W spent the day away from home.

My friend Tammy-Lee (who blogs here) is such a great woman! She called me up the other day and said, "Hey, I was thinking that I would love to have each of your children spend a day at my house, each one on their own day." How do you say no to that? Who would want to? Tammy-Lee is my closest friend here in town; I talk to her at least once a day. (J would say100 times a day, but that's an exaggeration.) My kids love her and Seven (her dh, aka 7) and usually call them Uncle Seven and Auntie Tammy-Lee.

Last night W came to me and said, "Auntie Tammy-Lee come visit now." I said, "Why don't we call her and you can ask?" "Yep!" So I dialed (W is 2.5 yrs old) and he asked her. She said that she would come but her temporary job got in the way and she couldn't stop by that evening. So when she called to tell me so, she asked if today could be W's day at her home. There was no reason why not, so when we got up we gave her a call and she came to get him.

They left here around 11 I think. I got one call from them just after lunch and then he came home just before 4. They had so much fun jumping on the trampoline, playing with the dogs and driving in a little car. He didn't want to come home. When he saw that Tammy-Lee had removed his carseat from her van he fell to the ground crying! When he realized that she had left, he wandered around the yard crying to go back to her house!

Do you think they had fun?!?!?

For Tammy-Lee's version of the day, go check out her blog.

That is really very special! Nothing replaces home but they just love that one on one attention from someone who they love, and obviously loves him in return.
