FOR TODAY - -May 4, 2010
Outside my window...is another dreary day. DH and I were just talking that we wished he had a crackling, warm fireplace in the corner.
I am thinking...this new cleaning plan just might work. After each meal one of the older girls help me, while the other looks after the youngest three. I made a list of what needs to be done after each meal. If we do all that's on the list, we are well set up for the next meal.
I am thankful for...our pastor, his wife and their two children. Their oldest (a boy) is the same age as my boy. They have great fun together! Plus we (the four adults) are the same age too! It's cool!
From the learning rooms...they played Science Stadium and they worked on their ACSI math.
From the kitchen...(not my kitchen, though) we ate some apple pie. On Sunday we had a "work and dessert auction" for our youth group (a fundraiser). DH bought two apple pies. They are sure yummy!
I am wearing...a bobby pin in my hair and crocs on my feet.
I am creating...a system for us - some mini-routines.
I am going...to stay home as much as possible this week.
I am reading...A Voice in the Wind
I am hoping...that with all this rain that the county will remove the complete fire ban so that we can have some backyard camp fires.
I am hearing...the rain pouring outside and remembering that my bus doors are open! I hope it's not too wet inside and that no animals take refuge there.
Around the house...are baskets of clean laundry waiting to be folded.
One of my favorite things...dangling earrings. My favorite pair are ones my mom made from broken necklace chains.
A few plans for the rest of the week: going to a BBQ tomorrow night, staying home, checking out the local farmer's market, but mostly just staying home.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
