Fall Into Reading Challenge 2010

Goals:

Read the books listed below.

Read daily for myself.

Read daily to the children.

Have the children read to each other daily.

The Books:
Bringing Up Boys, by James Dobson
The Read-Aloud Handbook, by Jim Trelease
**One Year To An Organized Financial Life, by Regina Leeds
Little House on the Prairie, by Laura Ingalls Wilder
On The Banks of Plum Creek, by Laura Ingalls Wilder
**The Devil in Pew Number Seven, by Alonzo
**Why God Matters, by Karina Lumbert Fabian and Deacon Steven Lumbert
**Finding Purpose Beyond Our Pain, by Paul Meier and David Henderson
**Telluride Promise by Edward Massey
**Snow Valley Heroes, by Robert McCarty
**Castle in the Mist, by Robert McCarty
The Shack, by Wm. Paul Young

Looks like I have a pretty heavy load of books.  It’s about 4 books a month, or one a week for the challenge (September 22 to December 22).

BOLD are read-alouds.
** are to be reviewed.  That’s half my list!

Will you join us for this year’s Fall Into Reading Challenge?

Yay for the Laura Ingalls books! I recently re-read (actually listened to the audio) the whole series...so much adventure!

My mom read all the Little House books aloud to me when I was a kid. I remember feeling pretty awesome when I re-read them for myself when I got a little older. =)
Bringing Up Boys was on my list, but I just finished another one on boys called Wild Things: The art of nuturing boys, so I scrapped it for this time around.

Good luck!

I'm shooting for approx. 1 book per week as well. We can do it!

I love that you'll have the kids reading to each other -- great goal!

Thanks for being part of the challenge!
